PARTNERS EAST OUTREACH UPDATE
|
|
Several years ago, Parkvale Bank’s Partners East Team initiated a Special Needs Fund to benefit FSWP. Since its inception, the Special Needs Fund has provided emergency assistance to dozens of local families thanks to the team’s financial sponsorship. Partners East collects money by selling Sarris candy products to customers and employees in each of its nine member-branches.
Continuing a holiday tradition, Partners East team members participated in their annual gift-wrapping party on December 17, decorating over one hundred holiday presents for children who are helped by FSWP.
Additionally, as part of this year's Community Banking Week, Partners East collected food and pet supply products for Pet Friends, Inc. The organization is a non-profit, all volunteer animal rescue organization whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and find permanent homes for lost and unwanted dogs and cats in South Western Pennsylvania. To learn more about Pet Friends Inc. visit the organization’s web site at www.pet-friendsinc.com.
On August 17, 2008, the team hosted its annual FSWP Summer Picnic at Memorial Park in New Kensington, complete with all the trimmings. Approximately 15 children, their FSWP mentors and Parkvale Bank employees were treated to a traditional grill-out, volleyball games, badminton, water balloon toss competitions, relay races, and more.
For details on how to contribute or participate, contact Partners East Team Leader & Monroeville Branch Manager and Senior AVP William E. Fritz at 412-373-7200. Thank you for helping Parkvale Bank support Family Services of Western Pennsylvania.
